AFTER CARE INSTRUCTIONS
Handle it with care: Resin jewelry can be delicate, so always handle it with care to prevent any damage. Avoid dropping or banging the jewelry against hard surfaces.
Avoid exposure to chemicals: Keep your resin jewelry away from chemicals such as perfumes, lotions, and cleaning agents. These substances can cause discoloration, dullness, or even damage the resin. It's best to put on your jewelry after applying any perfumes or lotions.
Protect from direct sunlight: Prolonged exposure to direct sunlight can cause resin to yellow or become brittle over time. When not wearing your resin jewelry, store it in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. You can use a jewelry box, a soft pouch, or wrap it in a soft cloth.
Clean gently: To clean your resin jewelry, use a soft, lint-free cloth or a microfiber cloth. Avoid using abrasive materials or harsh chemicals, as they can scratch or damage the surface of the resin. Simply wipe the jewelry gently to remove any dirt or fingerprints.
Avoid water exposure: While some resin jewelry is water-resistant, it's generally best to avoid prolonged exposure to water. Remove your resin jewelry before showering, swimming, or doing any activities that involve water. Water can seep into the resin and cause it to become cloudy or weaken the adhesive.
Store separately: To prevent scratches or tangling, store your resin jewelry separately from other jewelry pieces. You can use small individual jewelry pouches or compartments within a jewelry box. This will help maintain the original shine and finish of your resin jewelry.
Handle temperature changes carefully: Extreme temperature changes can affect resin jewelry. Avoid exposing your jewelry to sudden temperature fluctuations, such as placing it near a heater or in the freezer. Gradual temperature changes are generally fine, but abrupt changes can cause the resin to expand or contract, potentially leading to cracks or warping.
Seek professional repair if necessary: If your resin jewelry experiences significant damage, such as a crack, chip, or broken component, it's best to consult a professional jeweler who specializes in resin jewelry repair. They will have the expertise and tools to assess the damage and provide the necessary repairs.
By following these care instructions, you can help ensure the longevity and beauty of your resin jewelry collection. Remember, proper care and maintenance will help your jewelry retain its shine and keep it looking its best for years to come.
